The $5 Eyeshadow Wonder

I don’t think there’s anyone out there that hasn’t heard of colourpop by now. They took the world by storm using social media marketing. Today, I want to talk about their famous Super Shock Eyeshadows which can be purchased here for five dollars a piece.

The instructions say they perform best with fingers and they’re certainly right  about that. The best way I can describe them is a cream to powder formula. They are nicely pigmented and go on the lids smoothly. I have a matte side that I like to apply with my fingers into the crease, then blend out with a fluffy synthetic brush. They are not the easiest to blend, however. I also found that the darker shades can be a bit patchy, but since they are easy to layer this isn’t a big problem. I didn’t notice any creasing with them, but I don’t have particularly oily eyelids. The lasting power on these is pretty impressive, especially the darker shades. Overall, I like them and I’m glad I have a few in my collection.
